Frequently Asked Questions

Everything families ask before starting online Quran classes.

How do online Quran classes work?

Classes are live one-to-one video lessons on Zoom, Google Meet or Skype. The teacher shares the Quran text on screen, listens to the student recite and corrects mistakes immediately. All you need is a phone, tablet or computer with internet.

Is the first class free?

Yes. Your first trial class is free with no payment details required. It lets you meet the teacher, check the student's level and agree on a timetable.

Do you have female Quran teachers?

Yes. Female teachers are available for sisters and children in every course, including Tarjuma and Tafseer, which is taught to women by a female Alimah. Choose your preference on the free trial form.

What times are classes available?

Classes run around the clock in six shifts, so students in the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Australia can all find a convenient time. Use the class time converter on the home page to see times in your time zone.

What age can my child start learning the Quran online?

Most children can start from age 4 or 5 with short 20–30 minute Noorani Qaida lessons. There is no upper age limit; many of our students are adults and reverts.

Which languages do teachers speak?

Teachers teach in English and Urdu, and the Quran is always recited in Arabic.

Which apps do you use for classes?

We use Zoom, Google Meet or Skype, whichever works best for you. The teacher sends the link before each class.

Do I need to buy books?

No. Teachers share the Noorani Qaida, the Quran and other material on screen. Many families like to keep a printed Mushaf at home as well.

Can parents watch the classes?

Yes, and for young children we encourage it. Parents are welcome to sit in on any class.

What happens if we miss a class?

Tell us at least 24 hours before and we will reschedule the class within the same month.

Do you issue certificates?

Yes. Students receive a certificate on completing Noorani Qaida, Nazra, the Tajweed course and Hifz.

How long does it take to learn Nazra Quran online?

Children usually finish Noorani Qaida in 3–4 months with 5 classes a week, and read the Quran fluently within 8–12 months. Adults often progress faster because they practice between classes.

Is learning Tajweed obligatory?

Scholars state that reciting the Quran without clear mistakes that change the meaning is obligatory on every Muslim who recites. Learning the detailed rules is highly recommended so the recitation is correct and beautiful.

How long does it take to memorize the Quran online?

A child with 5 one-hour classes a week and daily home practice usually completes Hifz in 2–4 years. Speed depends on age, consistency and revision, not on class format.

Do you have female teachers for Tarjuma and Tafseer?

Yes. Sisters and girls can study with a female Alimah teacher in private one-to-one classes, with the camera on or off as they prefer. Choose 'Female teacher' on the free trial form.

How can I learn Namaz online?

Book a free trial, and a teacher will start with Wudu and the positions of prayer, then teach each recitation with its meaning. With the camera on, the teacher checks your movements live.

Which Duas should a child learn first?

Start with the short daily Duas: before and after eating, before sleeping and on waking, entering and leaving home, and the toilet. They are short and used every day, which builds the habit quickly.

Which Hadith book do you start with?

We start with the Forty Hadith of Imam an-Nawawi, a short collection that covers the core principles of Islam and is ideal for memorization.

Can I ask personal religious questions?

Yes. Teachers answer general questions from the Quran and Sunnah and explain the views of the major schools of thought. For detailed personal rulings, such as inheritance, divorce or business contracts, they refer you to a qualified Mufti.
