What is this course?

This course teaches the practical rulings (Fiqh) and manners (Adab) Muslims need every day, from purity and prayer to fasting, Zakat, halal earning and family life, based on the Quran and Sunnah. Students can bring their own questions. For personal legal rulings (fatwa) on complex matters, teachers refer students to a qualified Mufti.

Can I ask personal religious questions?

Yes. Teachers answer general questions from the Quran and Sunnah and explain the views of the major schools of thought. For detailed personal rulings, such as inheritance, divorce or business contracts, they refer you to a qualified Mufti.

Which school of thought (Madhab) do you follow?

Teachers explain rulings from the Quran and Sunnah and present the positions of the four Sunni schools where they differ. You can ask for lessons according to your own Madhab.

Is this course suitable for new Muslims?
