What is this course?

Tarjuma means translation of the Quran and Tafseer means its explanation. In this online course you learn the meaning of the Quran word by word, then study each passage with its context, the reasons of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul) and lessons for daily life, drawn from recognized classical Tafseer. Sisters can study one-to-one with a female Alimah teacher.

Classes for sisters

Women and girls can study Tarjuma and Tafseer one-to-one with a female Alimah teacher, with the camera on or off as you prefer. Sessions are private, so sisters can ask questions freely, including about topics addressed to women in the Quran. A women-only small group (halaqah) can also be arranged on request.

Do you have female teachers for Tarjuma and Tafseer?

Is Tafseer taught in English or Urdu?

Both. The Arabic verse is always read first, then the translation and explanation are given in the language you choose.

Which Tafseer do you follow?

Teachers explain the verses from recognized classical works such as Tafsir Ibn Kathir, and for Urdu speakers also Ma'ariful Quran, and give references so students know the source.

How long does it take to complete Tarjuma and Tafseer of the whole Quran?

With 3–5 classes a week, most students complete the full Quran in 1–3 years. Many start with selected surahs such as Yaseen, Al-Mulk and Al-Kahf and continue from there.
